How do i go from the tax return screen to the input item.

If you are viewing a form, you can either 'Esc' (will take you back to the detail tab) or Alt+D(etail) and return you to the detail tab.  Depending on how deeply into the data you were--inside a Ctrl+E(xpanded data entry) on the 3rd W-2 on screen 10/wages--when you went to view the forms you may need to hit 'Esc' as many as four or five (4-5) more times to wind up back at the Client List, or just hit Alt+C(lient list) to jump there directly.

Pretty much "anything keyboard" is always going to be faster for you than navigating with the mouse, simply because you have to find where it is NOW, then move it to the right spot, and then wait for your click to take effect.
