Question

Has anyone had the error message "you do not have sufficient rights to to stall printer drivers"? I get this all the time and sometimes using the tool hub does not fix the problem.

Hi @alm Thanks for posting in the Community about not having sufficient rights to install printer drivers. If you are receiving this message when trying to print to a PDF in Lacerte, we would:

  1. Close out of Lacerte.
  2. Right click on the Lacerte shortcut.
  3. Select Run as Administrator.
  4. Try printing again and see if the same error occurs.

If it still happens we would connect with Lacerte Support for assistance with this.

Hi.  It did not work.  I'll be calling customer support.

Did anyone ever help you resolve this?  I as having same issue without customer support yet helping resolve.  One thing I did notice was my Lacerte 2025 won't update beyond 0305 (which actually mentions this issue) when 0320 is available.

1.  Close and re-start Lacerte

2.  Reboot your computer

Either 1 or 2 has worked for me.  Lacerte has a programming bug.

I didn't think the Tool Hub worked for 2025 - did it work for you?

This did not work either.

Re: Apryse PDF Printer Driver Problems

I figured it out... You need to turn off "Windows Protected Print Mode" in your "Printers and Scanners" setting page.  After I did this and ran "Lacerte PDF Repair Tool" in the "Tool Hub" everything now works.

I was so hopeful that this would do it for me, but I don't have the "Windows Protected Print Mode" setting even set up - let me know if you find any other solutions out there!
