Has anyone gotten a 1099-B download to work?

I've failed on both Fidelity and Morgan Stanley, stating that there is no tax form for the account, or that there are no accounts of the correct type. I don't see any sign of pop-ups.

Is it possible that the 1099 is not yet final yet.

I don't like doing download and import. I like seeing the 1099 and entering as little as possible - All cover lots need maybe 4 entries - ST gain, ST loss, LT gain, LT loss even if hundreds of transactions. Import hundreds of transactions then you need to REVIEW hundreds of transactions. 

Answers are easy. Questions are hard!
