Question

Form 990-N diagnostic 9843 (requiring attached 8453-TE) will not go away (Lacerte 2024)

I have followed all the instructions on the relevant page:

I am hitting my head against the wall. there is no reason why I am getting this stupid diagnostic on a 990-N return, as the 990-N return does not even allow PDF attachments!

go to irs.gov and file it on the 990-N site they direct you to.

its pretty dumb that we pay for this software to just have to go use the IRS site...

    Agreed. But if you're looking at April 15 deadline....

    BTW- calendar year 990s are due May 15.
