I prepared and REP an Estate Tax Return in 2020 Lacerte for a death in 2019. Can I change the basic exclusion amount to the 2019 amount instead of the default 2020 in Lacerte?

Maybe you can but the return will print as a 2020 return.

You need to do it in 2019 software.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
