Form 3800 and March 1 deadline

How are we supposed to be handling clients with the form 3800 that are due on March 1 and are not granted an extension? The 3800 will not be available until March 7th so we have many clients that cannot make the deadline. Will the IRS be granting some penalty relief for these filers since the forms they need were not made available? How are other people handling this?

It's definitely a problem, because the IRS has released it a while ago, and even the instructions are now final as of earlier this week, I believe.  So, I don't assume the IRS is going to grant penalty relief just because Lacerte didn't have it ready by March 1.  Might be different if the IRS didn't have it by March 1.
