eFiling 1040 and got this error code. F8962-070

Form 8962 is NOT being generated; should it be? How can I force it?

Is this error saying I need to attach Form 1095A to the eFiled return?

I called Lacerte; thought it was fixed but it wasn't (and frankly she was trying to figure out what the error meant herself. Hoping someone in the community has already figured it out!)

Your client has the market place insurance. They need to provide you with the 1095-A

thank you; yes, I have the 1095A.

I've since been working on this - and after deleting all the information and reinputting it - the form is generating. There must have been an invisible character somewhere or an unchecked box.

Thankfully this return rejected the 1040 for lack of the form; unfortunately California went through and now I'll need to amend it.

I wish there had been a "diagnostic" that the 1095A information was incomplete so that I wouldn't have eFiled California thinking it was correct. Sigh. Life in tax, eh! LoL!
