Can anyone tell me how to enter a primary password?

Look at https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/help-articles/help/manage-users-for-lacerte/00/4897 and click on the first section to Complete the Initial Setup

You need to let the Lacerte program know that you are the Administrator.

Then https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/manage-access/help/manage-users-for-lacerte/00/4897
