Electronic Estimates

Wonder why the Lacerte software will not allow the system to setup electronic estimated tax payments after a return is e-filed.  I forgot to check to box for estimated tax payments.  When I went back it would not let me setup electronic estimates.  Has anyone else had this problem?

The software is working as designed.

There may be a few states where you can do this after the efiling of the return. I don't know.

For federal payments, you can set them up at IRS Direct Pay.

States may have a similar app.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
