E-Filing for Individuals

When processing E-File returns for individuals, we are receiving this error message:

Your request was not understood by the e-filing service. - Invalid XML. cvc-pattern-valid: Value '[email address removed] ' is not facet-valid with respect to pattern '[\w\-\.\+_$&]+@([\w\-_]+\.)+[\w\-]{2,}' for type 'EmailAddressType'. Please verify that your application program is up-to-date.

The E-File does not process. Any solutions out there?

We are getting this message:

Your request was not understood by the e-filing service.. - Invalid XML. cvc-complex-type.2.4.a: Invalid content was found starting with element 'app'. One of '{senderEmail, legalName}' is expected. Please verify that your application program is up-to-date. Problem occurred transmitting efile data

Even if we only choose to file the Federal return and leave off the state (Illinois)
