DMS 2025Intall and Database Restore

  • First, it failed on a Win10 machine.  Tech support said install on Win11 and that failed.

Then support said database is corrupt.  Restoring a week old backup doesn’t work either.  Their recommendation is to simply start a new database and give up on my old data.  Is this a joke?  Three hours on the phone and support refused to escalate.

Have you tried Tool Hub? https://accountants.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/system-responses/fix-common-problems-errors-lacerte-tool-hub/L9R7PETvi_US_en_US?uid=mkvlqd6f There are a couple of tools for DMS.

I would use windows in uninstall DMS. Shut down the computer. Restart the computer. Install DMS.  You say it failed. What was the message?

Answers are easy. Questions are hard!

Thank you for your response.

I did use the Tool Hub but it too failed to do a repair.

Restoring from a week-old backup also gives the error below.

I hope there's some kind of solution becuase we're talking about 80 GB of data!  If I can't rely on the backups what good are they?  I also have iDrive Backup and restored the original database but DMS doesn't recognize that either.

Do you have an older backup.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
