Critical diagnostic regarding Portland return on ALL clients #45535
As of this morning, we are getting a critical diagnostic for all/almost all clients:
"e-file: Portland requests a PDF copy of the Required Statements when the total rental real estate and royalty income reported on Federal Schedule E does not match the amount reported on Form SP, net income from Schedule E. This could be due to differences caused by the form or activity being classified as Taxpayer, Souse or Joint."
This is populating on clients who do not have Portland returns nor rental income, essentially all clients with the exception of a single one I have came across thus far. In order to e-file one client in particular (no Portland return, no Schedule E), I had to force a $0 Portland return (paper filed) just to push the e-file through & then removed it after e-filing.
I tried reapplying all updates & it was not remedied. This is clearly a glitch in need of Lacerte's attention.
