Colorado QBI Addback
Currently Lacerte software is not automatically including the QBI addback for Colorado income tax purposes if the taxpayer's AGI is greater than $500,000 for a single taxpayer or $1,000,000 for a joint taxpayer. There is an override field where the amount may be included but I would recommend that Lacerte correct the automatic calculation for this addback. If that is not possible, please add a diagnostic for Colorado taxpayers with AGI of greater than the above amounts to alert to the need to manually addback the QBI deduction. This addback is valid through 2025.
