Client file not opening after recent Lacerte update

After updating Lacerte to the latest version, one of my client files won’t open. It shows an error about missing data or corruption. Has anyone else faced this? How can I fix it without losing the client’s return?

Unless you have a backup of the client file, I think you are out of luck if the file is corrupted.

Hi @Husnainacca Thanks for posting in the Community and sharing those details with us. If you’re using Lacerte 2024, you may be able to restore the file using the automatic backup feature. For Lacerte 2021–2023, automatic backups are available for the Individual and Partnership modules. You can review the steps here:
