Can you electronically transmit federal estimate tax payments after the return has been e-filed?

Transmitted Federal and State returns electronically. Client came back into the office to write the checks for payment vouchers, federal and state, as well as the first estimate payments for both.  Client decided he would like the remaining estimate payments to be directly debited from his account. State is not a problem after the fact but can I still do the federal estima

No.

But I think you can schedule them at IRS Direct Pay.

Thank you for your input.  I had thought about processing them that way but I thought (there I go thinking I can think again.LOL) that because you can schedule state estimate tax payments after the fact in Lacerte, federal should be doable as well.

Which state ? Most states you can't.
