Can I efile California with a diagnostic with a negative income for Federal premium tax credit - form 8962?

Can I efile California with a diagnostic with a negative income for Federal premium tax credit - form 8962?  Federal will be paper filed as per the instructions.  Client has zero income (huge NOL) and zero taxes remitted or due.  Any way to efile?

Disable the efile diagnostic and you can efile the Federal & the CA returns.

(E-file > efile support tools > Disable efile Error).

I did it on a client that had a large NOL; the APTC was the only *issue* so I felt comfortable doing so.
