Where in Lacerte do i enter in the FEMA disaster code that appears on top of Form 1040?

How to claim disaster relief:

Taxpayers should write the name of the disaster (for example, Los Angeles County Fire) in blue or black ink at the top of their tax return to alert FTB.

Individual Module:

  • To submit a disaster declaration with the filing of the tax return, go to Electronic Filing > e-file PDF/Miscellaneous > Disaster relief explanation field and enter Los Angeles County Fire. The disaster relief explanation that is entered here will appear at the top of Form 540/540NR/Schedule X and will be included in the electronic return submission.

    1040 input is under Screen 3 - Misc - Go down there is an input - Form 1040 Text (included in efile).
