Amendment on the Change of Address is not available an option on Miscellaneous Information section

The instructions for amendments read on the change of address "Individual - Use Form 8822 (Screen 73, Change of Address) See Entering a Change of Address Form 8822 for more information. For an amended return, the input for Form 1040X is located in Screen 59, Amended Return. In the Miscellaneous Information section, enter a 1 in the field If address changed, update IRS records: 1=yes, 2=no."

But , it's nowhere to be found. Please advise. Thanks.

Are you doing a 1040X? If so just put the new address in Screen 1 and use the 1040X instructions that state "Change of address. If you have moved since you filed your original return, enter your current address on Form 1040-X."

If you are doing just a change of address, do what it says in the link you have.

I agree the thing you can't find is something I also can not find.
