5500 efile with e-sig
We have never used e-signature before and only have this one 5500 to prepare and file. We got a "complete" on getting the e-sig for the EFAST2 but the return is locked. When I try to e-file the 5500 there is an exception ATEException Message that "the bft.us.8955ssa and instance tax failed". I have no idea what this is. Can someone help? I've been on hold to Lacerte for 2 hours and haven't been able to speak with anyone yet. I don't know if it has to do with the return being locked or not, but if I try to unlock it, it says I need to clear the e-sig request. That doesn't seem like a good idea.
