2023 Estimated Payments due 10/16/2023

Regarding the Federal return, these quarterly payments are sent to the IRS with the filing of the 1040. Each of these will be directly withdrawn from the bank account on the default due dates. To make these payments on a different date they will either need to be sent via mail or directly with the IRS.

Regarding California, the estimate payment wizard can be used. The input in Screen 3 does allow you to enter an October payment date. When e-filing using the estimated payment wizard these items will be transmitted with the October requested date.

This can be verified by going to e-file support tools located within the e-file dropdown menu. Select 'view e-file' to open the xml view of the data.  In the upper right corner, using the dropdown, select Filing Type: EstPayment.  You can then expand CA Est. to view the Payload information for each item.  The date and amount paid will be located at the bottom of the page details.
