1099s filed using IRS - why delay?

Using the Internal Revenue Service IRIS system, I filed 1099s yesterday morning and there has not been any notification yet.  What is the expected lag time?

I would guess the system is experiencing high volume in the last few days of January.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
