1040 NR Diagnostic

Receiving a diagnostic code 54780 requiring the payer's federal ID # for Form SSA-1042S.  There is no payer Federal ID nor a field in which to populate it.  Any thoughts on how to clear this?  It's a fatal diagnostic.

Hi there,

We're working on removing diagnostic ref. 54780 currently, and it will disappear on a future release. As you noted, there's no federal ID input for the SSA-1042S. Until then, you may want to try Disabling e-file error checking for this return to bypass the diagnostic and e-file.
