Lacerte Benefit - Form 8955-SSA FIRE System Scheduled Maintenance
The IRS will be shutting down the FIRE system which impacts Form 8955-SSA transmissions, for annual MeF maintenance and will not come back online until January. Lacerte will block transmissions 4 hours prior to this shutdown to allow any e-filed forms to complete the transmission process. Lacerte will begin blocking November 22, 2024.
