Which state? Many do have potential fraud triggers that deny efiling.

Nope. Paper filing is your only route.

That paper filing requirement if for both federal as well as Illinois??

If you aren’t getting a message on the federal, it sounds like the federal withholding is ok and you would be able to e-file it.

The error message is on the federal (re: the state withholding) but it does not appear on the state module.

That’s weird. I don’t do ProConnect, so I don’t know how the error messaging works, but if there is an issue with the state withholding, I’m not sure why the message would show up on the federal and not the state. As long as the federal withholding isn’t wonky, I don’t believe an issue with the state withholding would affect the federal filing.
