Add new line to 1040, Sch K-1 Ptsh Addtl Info 2; Part II; Q1 "Ck box if ptsh int was disposed of in a fully tax free transaction"New

On Form 1040, when reporting a partnership interest that is gone due to a 1031 exchange at the partnership level, and when processing the final K-1, we need a "tax-free" check box on Form 1040, Sch K-1 Ptsh Addtl Info 2, Part II, Question 1.Currently none of the choices allow us to report a fully non-taxable 1031 exchange as the reason for no longer owning the partnership interest. So please add a new choice to Question 1 in Part II ... "Check this box if the partnership interest was terminated due to a tax free transaction" and then don't require any additional information such as date acquired, date of disposition etc.  Thanks

I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A NJ MANDATE. CAN PROSERIES AT LEAST CHANGE IT TO "CLIENT COPY"  ON THE PRINTING FOR CLIENT COPY OPTION?WE PAY A LOT OF $$ FOR THESE PROGRAMS, AND I BELIEVETHAT THE 'REFERENCE ONLY' WATERMARK DOESN'T LOOK PROFESSIONAL TO SEND TO CLIENTS.THANK YOU

When you export client data, the list of available data fields to export includes "Custom Filter" under the Miscellaneous heading. Where is the input for this custom filter data? What information is exported when using this data field? Is it just the name of a custom filter, or the name of a group within a custom filter?

Fixed Asset ClassesNew

Would you please, please, please break out the assets into (at least) life/time classifications on the Depreciation Reports?  As in, please list the 3 year assets with summary totals; 5 year assets with summary totals, etc.  This certainly can't be that hard to accomplish.

Ideas for future ProSeries VersionsNew

Here are a few ideas that would make certain parts of PS much easier/more convenient to use for both myself and the clients:* Make it possible to transfer client data to a spreadsheet. It would be nice to be able to make a list of our clients so we can track different things and not have to type everything out separately. * Make the organizer PDFs fillable. Right now, the only way to email those out for clients is to either go through them individually with the professional Adobe version and do each organizer making the document fillable or the client has to do it themselves or print out the emailed version and write it all out. It would be great if we could have it already to go that way. * When we go to transfer the billing to QB, if we have anything in the miscellaneous fees & adjustments section, it doesn't transfer over and we have to input that separately as well.

1120/1065 balance sheetsNew

I would love to be able to have a balance sheet "worksheet" for those tax returns where you're not required to file a balance sheet but want to have one in your file anyway.  Now I complete the Schedule L, print it out, and then delete it.  Just a waste of time.

Fix the confusing questions in Part IV of the 1040 AOTC-DD WKSNew

It seems the "taxpayer" and "student" are not properly stated in those questions in Part IV of the AOTC WKS. Also, the solutions or results suggested to the "yes" and "no" answers are providing the wrong action to be taken. Also, some of the questions are duplicate and most are poorly written, such as "Is the taxpayer 18? Yes or No" Are you asking if they are exactly age 18 or are you asking if they are at least 18? The way it is written, No would be correct if they were 17 or 35.  Also, I think the question revolves around the student's age, not the taxpayer. However, sometimes the student and the taxpayer are one in the same ... still it is the student's age that matters in this case - but the question asks about the taxpayers. Please think these questions through more clearly.

Signature on Form 1041 - Programming ErrorNew

Please fix the programming error on Form 1041 that requires me to type my name in the signature box.  This has been an issue on 2018 and 2019 returns.  No other form requires that (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 706, 709, 5500).  My name is already printed in the Preparer's Name box.  This is the same as all other return types, but for whatever reason it was programmed to require a name (or a single letter) be typed before the program will allow the return to be e-filed.

Schedule E Supplemental Prior Year Smart WorksheetNew

On the Schedule E Supplemental Prior Year Smart Worksheet it does not allow you to override or modify the figures that transferred from the Prior Year.  When changes have been made to the Prior Year, need the ability to modify this field so that we can match to the Carryover worksheet after updating with the correct prior year figures.  This is a new worksheet for 2019.  All other fields/worksheets in Schedule E allow user to modify.  If we cannot modify the Supplemental worksheet then there is an error that you cannot clear.

Please include an entry box in federal w-2 worksheet for medical insurance premiums paid that transfers to the statesNew

For the states that don't allow medical insurance premiums to be pre-tax on wages, but deducatable on the state return. (like NJ.)

Efile 1099's Individualy by EmployerNew

I'd like to be able to e-file each company's 1099's that I prepare, individually. I don't prepare all my employers at the same time and there are employers that I no longer prepare forms for. It is annoying to have to unclick EVERY SINGLE employer just to e-file one specific employer.

MS 1099 data - Form 80-107 WorksheetNew

For MS individuals this form requires FID#'s and names/addresses for all 1099-INT, DIV (and others) received.  The names carry over from the federal, but it would be so helpful for the preparer if the forms would carryover from year to year from the prior year's MS form 80-107.  That way the FID#, name and any name/address previously entered would already be input.  There could be a diagnostic for the preparer to check and be sure all 'new' 1099's for the current tax year were included.
