WV Returns with EK-1 Pass-Through Credits
This year, Intuit changed the software making WV IT-140 unable to e-file of the taxpayer has an EK-1 pass through entity credit.
If line 26 is populated on the Tax Credit Recap Schedule, the software throws an error indicating the return cannot be e-filed.
This has not been an issue in past years. Why the change? Why were we not notified prior to the change? This causes a great deal of extra work for us and the taxpayer. Had we known in advance of the change, we may have considered a different tax preparation software.
This needs corrected in an update to the 2025 software.
