I would like to suggest a programming change for the WI Form 2.  When filing short year returns, there is a data entry field on screen 2.1 for fiscal year beginning date and ending date.  This information populates correctly to the federal 1041; however, only the ending fiscal date appears correctly on the WI Form 2.  The beginning date has a pre-printed year, which doesnot get over-ridden.  For example, our office filed a short year, fiscal return beginning 01/01/2022 and ending 08/31/2022.  The 1041 reflects these dates correctly; however the WI Form 2 reflects beginning date 01/01/2021 and ending date 08/31/2022.  This covers a period greater than 12 months and is not allowed.  Therefore, we have received a notice from the WI Dept of Revenue.  Hopefully it will be easily solved with an explanation.  But to avoid future notices it would be a simple programming update to allow the data entry field to over-ride the pre-printed date.  I appreciate your time in reviewing this feedback....and hopefully making the necessary correction.
