Update client letter to show IRS direct pay option
As the IRS modernizes taxpayer accounts and provides options to make payments directly at the IRS website, I would like to have Lacerte's letter for making these payments include this as an option instead of mailing a check to the IRS (or state) for balances owed. The optional payment via credit card has a phone number, which is ok for clients without access to computers or mobile phones with internet access, but that is getting to be fewer and fewer.
The result of this change would be a paragraph instructing the client to go to irs.gov/directpay to make a payment there.
