Surviving Spouse 2023 signature line

Form 8879 lists Filing as Surviving Spouse on the Taxpayer Signature Line

Form 1040 lists Filing as Surviving Spouse on the Spouse signature line.

This is not consistent.

Thanks for the idea to list Surviving Spouse on the same line on the 8879 and 1040 . We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it is no longer considered "New".
