Subject: Request to Add ID PIN Reminder Feature in ProSeries
Dear ProSeries Team,
We have recently been experiencing a number of IRS rejections due to missing Identity Protection PINs (ID PINs) on submitted tax returns.
It would be very helpful if the software could include a dedicated section within the Federal Information area for entering the taxpayer’s ID PIN. Additionally, a reminder feature—such as a checkbox or alert—could prompt preparers to ensure the ID PIN is entered before submitting the return.
This enhancement would help prevent filing errors and reduce the number of rejected returns.
