State of Michigan e-file rejection due to Schedule W - no Federal ID number being printed when unemployment has Michigan withholding tax
State of Michigan Form 1040's are being rejected when State withholding is taken out of Michigan unemployment due to the Federal ID number not automatically being carried to Schedule W. Similar to 1099-R reporting with Michigan withholding, we have to re-enter the Federal ID number at the bottom of the unemployment screen in the Michigan section.
