Lacerte has a very basic schedule d import. However, inexplicably, you can't import the very specific details that needs disclosure on the 8949. According to IRS instructions, stock transactions with wash sales and market discounts should be detailed in the 8949. So one would expect to be able to import the hundreds of transactions that accompany these details but for some reason Lacerte omits these data fields from being imported. It is a database. In theory, you should be able to "pick a field" to import and append the data to the table. Why not allow the user discretion over the fields to import? especially fields that would require the additional detailed disclosures required of the forms being reported on.
