Problem with diagnostics and e-filing the state return on a 5227 return
Can't e-file the State return when the 5227 return e-file button and the CO button are checked. The program also creates a 8879 -F signature form, as well as an 8879-TE form, when the CO State return button is checked. The CO return must go in with the Federal 5227 attached. Could the Federal return be filed first, and then the State? Vice versa? Can't seem to make anything work and Lacerte was no help at all.
