Print (or save as PDF) all three copies of the returns with one click.

Thanks for the idea to print the Client Copy, Preparer Copy and Government Copy with one click (like ProSeries). We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it has been around for over 30 days and no longer considered "New".

Out of an abundance of curiosity, why would someone need to print all three versions of the return?

Even if I had a client who resisted electronic filing and requested paper copies to keep and to file by mail, I would still need my firm copy. My firm copy would be digital, and that would entail involving two different printers. So, the option to print multiple versions of a return could be a time-saver for some workflows.  

My file copy and my copy for the client is the filing copy.  That's why I was questioning why someone would need copies in three different flavors.

I like to keep copies of worksheets and reconciliations for myself. My clients' eyes glaze over at this collection when they review their returns - with a few exceptions. Many want to see the MFJ/MFS work, K1 loss limitations, QBI calculations, taxable SS calculations. I do not keep the filing copy because I should be able to pluck it from the preparers copy. To each his own. Make the program maaeable to any possible requirement without too much fuss.

I keep the copy that was sent to the IRS.  The Client copy may have more detail and the Preparer copy has all the details.

I like to keep all three as PDF's in case the system is not available. 

We use the top-left (Preparer Review?) "Copy" as what we keep on file; it includes all forms/schedules, to include the General Information with carryovers.  Everything, including what will never cross the desk to be visible by the client.

We use the top-right (Client Copy) and bottom-right (Government Copy) for their intended purposes, EXCEPT the Client copy includes Estimate vouchers, and the Government copy does not.

We use the bottom-left (Preparer File?) as Estimates ONLY, so that we have them exist as a stand-alone file & printout.

I do not understand the "print all with one click," though.  As long as you leave the "efile Validation Wizard" window open and do not monkey with it during the ENTIRE TIME that your calculation and printing is going on, you absolutely can get all of these different Copies (including for multiple clients) to come out with a single click.  You just can't do anything ELSE in Lacerte during that time, unless you want to deal with returning pop-ups & dialog boxes.
  Once the File Save dialog pops up asking you where to store your PDFs, go get a cup of coffee and watch the paper spew out of the printer.

I am looking at Proconnect. I am noy sure if that works the same as Lacerte. The application is similar but I don't belive it does everything that Lacerte does.
