previous year estimated tax payments set up for electronic payment method in lacerte
It would be extremely helpful if the return would proforma and included a button or diagnostic that the previous year return had estimated tax payments scheduled for electronic payment. There is no guarantee that the payments were made (or not cancelled by the taxpayer), but it would be helpful to know if they were set up in the current year without having to go back to the prior year return.
Also, if a client always requests electronic payment of taxes due and/or estimates, it would be helpful to have a check box to indicate this, so that it would carry forward with the proforma. Anything to help preparers from having to make a note about such a simple item or eliminate having to ask the client every year, would be very helpful. Thanks.
