please provide a prompt to enter bank information for 1040 refunds
I am strongly requesting that the software prompt for individuals that are receiving a refund , need to provide their bank information.
If they do not, the instruction letter says your refund will be mailed to you. This needs to be corrected.
However, the IRS is sending clients letters to advise they need to respond in 30 days on the IRS website, with a picture id to upload, etc. to get their refund, or else wait the 30 days plus 6 weeks for a paper check.
Hoping you can do something with the software to flag this issue when inputting the return.
