Every year, I spend 8+ hours opening every individual account and deleting the efile check mark.  I do this to empty the EF View list in efforts to keep track of the open files I am working on.  (Mind you, though I have a punch list, one or two do get overlooked.)  Does anyone have a work around or INTUIT, could you please make this an upload option???

I transfer them one at a time when I am ready to work on them.

I filed 630 clients this year and 61 extensions. Really don't want to do that individually.

Rather than going through all of that work, why not just sort the EF homebase by the status date?  Returns that you haven't touched will just show a status date of the date that you rolled them over from last year.

Because sometimes you inadvertently open a file of someone when you're trying to open someone else's file and I'd hate to have to continue to look at it. Wondering why I opened it

@derrythomson , I do more returns and extensions than you do, and I have my client template set to mark each new return as to be efiled, just that so that I don't have to go digging through Part VI. But between the Red Exclamation Point and the auto updated Client Status page, I can get everything I want with a click of the mouse. We use the Red Exclamation Point to check-in clients and indicate we have their documents. One click on the Red Ex column heading in EF pending, lets me know who has stuff here, I also move the "NEXT STEP" and "CLIENT STATUS" columns as far left as I can, right beside the filename column on the left and the status date on the right.  Again, a simple click on either of those columns just gives my tired and poor brain about as much info as it can stand.  We all have our little tricks of the trade, and I'm certainly NOT affirming my method is superior to anyone else's: it just works really well for,me.
