My client lives in NYS and works for a NYC agency. He is required to file Form NYC-1127.

The return calculates a STAR credit that is not allowed. I tried to eliminate the credit with an override by

entering a zero and then a -1, but could not remove the credit.

My client is on extension until 10/15/26 hope you can find a solution to this problem.

Thank you,

Our clients are getting the letter stating its not allowed though the instructions show the calculation for the credit which seems contradictory.  In any case, to suppress the amount in A1, you can put a -1 in the input screen for the 1127 at the bottom where it says "Schedule B - Nonrefundable Credits" but I haven't been able to figure out how to suppress the calculation for A2 (rate reduction amount)
