Notes - Can we get them to show up in a column on the main screen?

New Lacerte user for 2022.

It would be nice to have different types of notes, for instance one that is not form screen or specific. Then you could select a column to display on the main client screen which would have an icon indicating a note is present that you can mouse over and a pop up with those notes would open. Then in that pop-up window if you click on the note, the program takes you to the screen it's on.

It would be very helpful so that you didn't have to go into a client and guess what screen has a certain note or client level note.

I am also a new Lacerte user this year. I come from Ultra Tax. The biggest thing I really miss about UltraTax? A notes tab that proforma's year to year, can be set to pop up as soon as you open a client, and has tabs that sync it to their version of DMS and their practice management software.

Having a note on the client screen would be even better than what UT offers - the ability to put a short note even in the status screen would be nice. I cannot tell you how many times I am putting notes in 47 that are missed. We moved all the notes from UT into 47...and they are too easy to miss. Pop up notes said things like don't forget to ask the client about XX that they mentioned this year. Or send this client return paper - they don't do anything electronic, or don't call Fred during the day, he is a day sleeper. SO MANY reasons to have better notes that can be set to pop up into view easily.
