Lacerte should show the Client's and their dependents' ages on the input screens (based on dates of birth) so you can easily see the ages for that tax year without having to calculate them.
This is needed when a dependent is 16 so you can tell the clients they will lose $1,500 of their $2,000 child tax credit the year the dependent turns 17.
