Lacerte's handling IRS e-file shutdown individual vs business
When the IRS shutdown e-filing for individuals, Lacerte bounces returns and tells us we have to hold them until IRS opens up again. When the IRS shuts down e-filing for business, Lacerte says we can continue to send over the returns and they will hold them until the IRS opens up again. Why two different systems? Why not allow us to send over all the returns that are going to be e-filed? They sit in Lacerte's computer. If I have to do it, chances are one could get overlooked and not filed.
