Kentucky tax due is not included on client letter
I'm preparing a multi-state return for a partnership based in California and they owe tax to Kentucky. There is no voucher and the tax due is not appearing on the letter. I spoke with customer support and they said the reason the tax due is not on the letter is because there is no voucher for it to pull from. We have to type up a separate letter for the client explaining how much tax is due to Kentucky and where to send it but there is still nothing we can give them to mail with the payment to ensure it will be applied correctly. I don't know if Kentucky just doesn't have a payment voucher for a nonresident partnership return, but the tax due still needs to appear on the letter so we don't accidentally forget about it!
