Iowa Schedule 1, line 15, includes the amount for federal health insurance deduction on Schedule 1, Part II, line 17.  This amount should not be included as a deduction for the Iowa return.

    Thanks for the idea to remove the amount for federal health insurance deduction on Schedule 1, Part II, line 17 in the  Iowa return . We are changing the status to "Open for voting".

    You do have to zero it out for those 65 and over.  Also if they itemize medical, the program pulls entire insurance even though some was used to itemize and get to taxable income.
