I called Intuit on January 16 to alert that the amortization of intangible assets no longer gets carried to Form 8825 in a partnership return has it has in past years. I see the a Schedule A for Form 8825 was created this year which omitted the amortization expense. At the time I called, the Schedule A had not been finalized. It now appears that it has been finalized, but it does provide a place to bring forward and report the amortization expense. Given that this amortization is a common expense when there are loan fees that must be amortized over the life a loan, this is  serious omission that in previous years has always been handled correctly by Pro Series. That my phone call was not acted upon is a serious breach.
