Form 706 Schedules - Not Statements

In a Form 706 Estate Tax Return, entered information should populate the 706 Schedules first and a continuation statement should only be added when the entered information exceeds the space available on the Schedule.  Currently, if any information is entered in a 706 Schedule, the Schedule will auto populate "See Statement" and all information (regardless of length) is included on the separate statement in a lump paragraph format where the preparer cannot control the formatting.

Thanks for the idea to add "See statement" on 706 Schedule only when the entered information exceeds the space available. We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it is no longer considered "New".

I agree, the "see statement" makes the return sloppy.  The items should be listed directly on the schedules.
