Form 2210 underpayment penalty calculation error for the 2023 PRO SERIES software

For the 2023 PRO SERIES software, I've had several clients send me letters adjusting the form 2210 underpayment penalty calculation error from PRO SERIES and issued them refunds from overpaying the balance due.  Everyone of these had a 2022 return on file.     

Please look into this formula and correct it, I was told to post this here when I called PS and told them about it.

2024 Pro Series

The software should give the preparer the option to indicate that the taxpayer lived in a 
Federally Declared Disaster Area and be able to perform the correct calculations.  What a concept!  Correct Calculations.

 

Intuit incorrect calculation of underpayment of estimated tax payments year 2024 for Florida Taxpayers.

Intuit ignored the tax relief provided to Florida Taxpayers.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced today tax relief for individuals and businesses in parts of Florida that were affected by Hurricane Milton that began on Oct. 5, 2024. These taxpayers now have until May 1, 2025, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments.
