I suggest Lacerte change the "Identification number" field format to allow for EINs. I submitted a Help Email because I tried to input EINs for Beneficiaries who are Qualified Exempt Organizations. This field is formatted to receive social security numbers ONLY but that does not serve my/our needs when the beneficiary is a qualified exempt organization. The reply to my Help Email suggested I submit this change idea to improve the Lacerte Fiduciary Tax Program Screen 6 by allowing EIN entries in the Identification Number field.
