Feature Request: Support FIDO2/Passkey for Hardware Security Keys on Lacerte Desktop
Currently, the Lacerte desktop app only supports 6-digit Authenticator codes (TOTP). For those of us using hardware security keys (like Thetis or YubiKey) for high-level security, this requires a disruptive manual process: we have to open a separate app, retrieve a 6-digit code, and manually type or paste it into Lacerte every time we are prompted, for each tax year.
Since Intuit online already supports Passkeys for web-based account logins, bringing this functionality to the Lacerte desktop application would allow us to authenticate with a simple physical touch of the security key.
