Enable E-Filing of State Returns for 1040-NR Beyond NY & CA
Currently, when preparing a 1040-NR federal return in ProSeries, the only available states for e-filing state returns are New York (NY) and California (CA).
Many nonresident taxpayers have state filing requirements in other states, and the inability to e-file these returns through ProSeries creates extra work and inefficiency.
I suggest that ProSeries expand its e-filing capability to allow 1040-NR returns for all states, not just NY and CA.
This improvement would:
Save time for tax preparers serving nonresident clientsalso make money.
Improve customer satisfaction by providing a complete e-file solution for all states.
