Eliminate the foreign address requirement to file extension form 4868 for overseas taxpayers
The Intuit help says to use a foreign address to file form 4868, but I looked up the IRS instructions for the form and found none on the requirement.
If you enter a foreign address, and choose to use firm address (option 1), then form 4868 has firm address, not the foreign address. This again shows the foreign address is not required by the IRS.
Many overseas taxpayers prefer to use an US address for easier and quicker communication, and I think the IRS too. To use a foreign address, you have to erase the US address, file the extension, and then re-enter the US address.
Please eliminate the foreign address restriction.
